Barnabas Ministries Southern Cross Ministries
Person to Person Ministries is an ever-expanding ministry. As we continue to expand our ministries, we also find ourselves stepping through the doors of partnerships with other ministries. In the past, Person to Person partnered with Eastern Christian College during a difficult time in their ministry. Dean Mills, our director at the time, took on a new role as President of the college, as well as continuing as the director for Person to Person. As time went on and as the college became stronger, Person to Person stepped aside to allow the trustees of the college to move in the direction they needed to go.
Today is no different! In 2001 Person to Person Ministries began a partnership with Denny Coburn, one of her trustees, as he began Barnabas Ministries, a ministry of encouragement. Through that ministry, not only has Person to Person been more effective, but God's people have been and continue to be encouraged in their walk with God.
Starting in 2005 Person to Person Ministries began working with Southern Cross Ministries in Towoomba, Australia. Jim and Becky Newman are native Ohioans and began working in Towoomba in 2003. Kerry Allen, our director, has thus far spent all of August 2006, 2007. 2008 and 2009 in Towoomba teaching in their Bible Institute, as well as preaching and holding seminars in the churches in and around Towoomba. There are plans to spend August of 2010 there also. This is and has been a great opportunity for Person to Person, but more importantly a great opportunity for the Kingdom of God.
